Not really, I mean with hypergamy not only unchecked but encouraged, it's only going to get worse. Women's attraction is relative, not objective. They want men who are well above the average. Sure humans might get more attractive overall as time goes on, but there will always be a group of men who don't get women because they are "worse" than most other men

There have always been incels. When I was growing up the incel was

--Crazy Uncle Paul who lives in his sister's attic and is always watching "da game" on his 12" black and white portable TV

--the kinda weird custodian who works at the Catholic church

--the neighborhood dude who wasn't quite right in the head from that mild case of encephalitis he had as an infant

--the guy who lives with his mom 2 streets over and works at the chemical plant

They were incels. We just didn't call them that.

We now have a name for it, and they, like every other niche interest group, found each other online and started talking about themselves and their lives.

Incels are neither good nor bad for society. They're just a byproduct of society. Society took care of incels by employing them in jobs and otherwise keeping them hidden. Society hasn't figured out what to do with incels now that many of their jobs have been automated or taken over by women; and now that it cannot keep them hidden.

If overall atttactiveness increases, women will adjust their standards. If men will get taller on average, 6 feet tall man will become a manlet.

Unfortunately, that's not how genetics works in long term.

My father was a somewhat popular local Chad (bit short by modern standards, but for 90s it's Eastern Europe it was fine), mother was a shy but pretty girl, solid 8.

And here I am, an atrocity made from two fine sets of genes. Genetic reshuffle is a bitch.

Soft agree. There's a surplus of people now, and this is how we cull the tribe; the unfit (and those parameters have been greatly expanded, perhaps even arbitrarily defined, since the unattractive are often physically healthy) don't get to reproduce.

Now, are we also becoming a petri dish for advanced and pervasive mental illnesses, can you shun segments of the population and still be psychologically healthy, is there a rise in psychopathy due to selection for that trait, and so forth? Possibly, but those are other questions.

I don't think this works, as even beautiful and healthy people will give birth to defective people and we don't throw them over a cliff.

I believe in the past the natural selection worked better as most of the unfit people would die soon, our ancestors weren't deformed incels that lived out of charity.
