Don’t think you can change a stingy man. If he is generous with you then I would say it’s still alright. If he is not, then it will be a very depressing life together.

You didn’t answer any of the questions we asked last time you posted about this, so it’s impossible to give good advice.

What does stingy mean to you, what are examples of the behavior that bothers you? Is he stingy with himself, but generous to you? Is he cheap or is he frugal (yes there’s a big difference)? Is it within his means to be more generous? Did he start out more generous and then stop, or has he been the same throughout the courting process and you’re now trying to change him?

Generally, you shouldn’t try to change a man. It simply won’t work and you’ll exhaust both of you in the process of trying. BUT, if you are extremely appreciative and praise the behaviors you like, you’ll get more of them. For example, lots of guys don’t like buying flowers and think they’re a stupid waste of money. But every man I’ve dated has loved to buy me flowers regularly because I tell them I really love receiving flowers, it makes me feel so special and cared for, then I’ll gush about how thoughtful they are, how they always pick the most beautiful bouquets, etc. positive appreciation works most of the time, but nagging and entitlement never work.
