I've been on dozens of dates and I noticed something. I can usually tell how the date is going to play out within the first ten minutes of meeting her.

If she's attracted, she's so much more likely to be engaged. If she's not attracted, she typically goes in cold fish mode keeping things at a polite surface level chit chat.

I had a date a few days ago where she did not want to connect on anything. She kept topic shifting and shifting where it felt like I was chasing after her in conversation. She did not want me to catch her.

If you ever had a date where you thought "we didn't click, our personalities didn't mesh, convo didn't flow" there's a significant chance they just weren't attracted to you is all. They were actively trying not to mesh.

If that physical attraction is there, that trip you took to Sacramento 6 months ago suddenly becomes A LOT more interesting. She'll actively be more open to connecting on the things you say. In most cases "not enough chemistry" simply means she didn't like your face enough.

Tl;dr: Looks matter so much more than most people are comfortable admitting, and they may be the reason why your personality didn't connect with hers.
