I don't usually post on here but I kind of need some advice and some reassurance that I'm not making a mistake. I've had a LTR for almost 2 years now and just got off the phone with her in a heated argument. The same problems from 2 years ago still exist and I'm just tired of it. I told her I'm just done that I don't need the bullshit anymore. She got all defensive and eventually hung up.

She's a HB8, I took her virginity, the sex is great, loves me to death and does lots of good things for me like cleaning, doing all the dishes, doing all the laundry, and other domestic things like that. She's a real good girl. When I first got with her, that's exactly what I was looking for a good girl that wouldn't cheat or hoe around (had just been cheated on and made of fool of by the chick before her) But when it comes to other aspects she doesn't measure up to my expectations. She doesn't have a license or a car has been unemployed for over a month now, and just doesn't have her shit together at all when it comes to growing up and being a go getter. I've made it very clear that I expect her to progress in life and improve herself. I feel as though I've grown a lot and she has just stayed in place. She hasn't made any effort to make the changes in her life that I expect. On top of it, her family is a bunch of low life's and they don't like me and I don't like them. They constantly disrespect me and talk down about me. They always try to start problems between us and get her to leave me. I get angry seeing her turning out to be just like them. (Not working, not getting an education, being behind on bills, not taking any responsibility or accountability) I feel like the relationship has drained me of so much time, money, and energy. I feel like she and her family are negative influences that will only keep me down and hinder my success in life.

I know I will be giving up the companionship, the help around the house, the good girl. I want to move on with my life and focus on myself and my success, I just don't want to regret losing someone who cared about me and someone I cared about all because of the things she lacked. I've waited around for nearly two years for her to get motivated and get her shit together, I've even tried to help her improve as much as I can, but it's like pulling teeth. I feel like it's time to just give it up and realize I need to worry about myself and improving myself.

Btw I am 22, in my last semester in community college, going to a university next year. She is turning 20 next month, I know she's younger, but still she's not a baby, she should be more matured at that age than she is.

Going on a run now to clear my mind and calm my nerves a bit
