One of the hugest growth markets in the next decades (job creation wise) will be elderly care and closely related fields. There will be plenty of jobs for women outside the trades.

A lot of bullshit senior executive position are being cut as we speak, and they were mostly all women, so companies could look good in regards to diversity and inclusion. My company fired 3 female executives within last two months.

Yeah I was reading a article by a guy. He was saying that companies usually hire through them that a lot of them contacted them in Dec saying they won't be hiring any anyone for some time that they would be doing layoffs . It has been a long time coming this is why I love my business there will be a person doing it for a long time . I have a home and building maintenance company but we also do small construction jobs .

I think you overstate the impact AI will have in the near future, though I do think there’s something to be said for the trend you mention.

That hit me when we had people working from home during Covid. The most fundamental and important jobs such as farming, construction, transportation, fixing utilities, etc., still require boots on the ground and these boots are filled largely by men.

Technology has reduced the number of farmers we need, but it’s also made the farmers that remain incredibly important, the same is true of construction workers, etc. What work at home showed me, in contrast is just how many of these work at home people (increasingly women) were either in unneeded positions or were being paid a lot for being incredibly inefficient.

While technology has increased efficiency and decreased the number of men needed to farm, from what I’ve seen and read we are now seeing an increase in wages these men earn. It’s meritocracy in action. It seems to me we are still seeing the opposite in many female dominated roles and with identity politics in general where meritocracy isn’t the norm.

Hiring a woman for something that a man, machine or technology can do better isn’t meritocracy and isn’t efficient. It has to have its limits. Similarly, a company or college hiring dozens of DEI officers isn’t efficient and can only be sustained due to excess profit, such as colleges with endowments in the billions.

If we have a huge recession, we will need farmers, construction workers, etc. We won’t need DEI officers and other positions that are either worthless or can be replaced by AI or other technologies. Even within female dominated fields we see this issue. There’s a shortage of boots on the ground nurses as companies fill and create inefficient positions for women for identity politics reasons.

So, I agree AI will play a role, but that’s just a part of the bigger picture of how society supports the work men tend to do versus the work women tend to do.
