Look for where they're thrilled to shut down research and potential protections for a group. Hey, i'm no fan of special interest groups and divisive segmentation that drives us further apart rather than closer together. But actions like these to silence complaints is proof positive of where the real biases lie.

Either everyone's important and needs to be heard or no one does. Equality has purpose and justice, woke equity is poison.

Can anyone summarise what the arguments against this bill actually were?

In the broad strokes it sounds bad but I would like to hear the objections of Ramos and Hunt and their political allies. The linked article states only that neither of them has seemed willing to answer questions about it.

I mean, if there was some genuinely awful clause in this bill, then that might be a reason to oppose it, although if that were the case I would expect those involved to simply say so. Until I hear different, their silence speaks volumes. What's the issue here?
