It really is wild to me that internet ideologues have continued to argue that both misandry and male disposability are not real, when men and boys from both Ukraine and Russia (and Belarus and Chechnya) have been sent against their will to death in trenches not unlike those those from WWI. On the sole basis of them being men.

I've found that there are a lot of parallels with feminist denials of men's issues and the narcissist's prayer

Many feminists will deny the existence of misandry (i.e. That didn't happen), and if they admit that it does exist, they say it's not that bad, like with the aforementioned "Misandry irritates, Misogyny kills" (i.e. If it did, then it wasn't that bad), and if they admit that it is bad, they'll downplay how bad it actually is, usually by saying its much worse for women (i.e. If it was, that's not a big deal), and if they admit that is a big deal, they'll deny any responsibility, usually by claiming that "it's part of the patriarchy too" (i.e. If it is, then its not my fault), and if they admit that misandry is their fault, they'll claim that they didn't mean it that way, that their slogans like "Yes All Men" or "Kill All Men" or "The Future is Female" aren't meant to be taken seriously like that (i.e. If it was I didn't mean it), and if they admit that they did mean all those things, they'll say that we deserve that misandry (i.e. If I did, you deserved it)

I'm not saying that feminists are also narcissists, but many of them use the same "logic" that narcissists use when confronted with the misandry present in our society.

I'll add one

Boko Haram and the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping.

Gigantic international media campaign ("bring back our girls") over the kidnapped schoolgirls. Massive outcry and sustained interest for years over what had happened . It was a tragedy.

What fails to be mentioned is that this was a long running campaign by Boko Haram and before the abduction of 270 schoolgirls they had been kidnapping and straight up murdering schoolboys across the country for years, with basically zero media attention in the West (as an aside, literally tens of thousands more couldn't attend schools at all because of fear over what would happen to them). The odd news story, but no real interest or campaign. There was only a huge media outcry after Chibok because before that, nobody cared that they were killing and abducting boys.

Boys were at best seen as a lower tier of victim to care about, doubly so for a bunch of brown, mostly Muslim, school boys in Nigeria. I mean who cares about them at the best of times right?

They didn't cut it for human interest. Certainly not compared to a school full of Christian girls. Now that has appeal for Western news media.

But the boys? Well the boys could go hang (literally) for all anyone cared.

I don't even understand why it's a contest. I also don't understand even if that was the case feminism doesn't understand that misandry causes Misognist it would be in everyones best interest to stop it.

This feels like it misses the point and this is a problem with the online discussion on this. I just can't see how violence against women is entirely linked to having hateful stances towards women as a whole in the first place.

You can think women are great and yet think their place is in the kitchen. You can think men are great and think they should provide or die for you. You can be a sworn male feminist ally and be an abusive asshole to every gf you ever had. I think this whole discussion downplays the complexities of human dynamics by pretending abuse and murder can always be predicted by a person's beliefs. We need to stop having surface level discussions about this.

The clear answer is yes, it is either ignored or laughed at. A good example is the way schools in the UK are failing boys on an industrial scale. It is blatantly obvious our education system is sexist against boys but if you try to make that argument, let alone do anything about. You face instant attack by outraged feminists.

Even ignoring the blatant things like war, murder rate etc. and viewing the idea of "Misandry = annoyance, misogyny = death" or "men are afraid of being made fun of, women are afraid of being killed" etc. in the most charitable light possible,those arguements still fall apart when male suicide rates are taken in to consideration. I'm sick to death of people belittling the issue of social alienation and loneliness as though being excluded and treated like shit doesn't hurt or result in death.

The loneliness issue is an epidemic on a level that we are only beginning to fully comprehend. Loneliness is lethal, one of the biggest killers, worse than smoking in fact and I'm fed up of this issue being swept under the rug.

The phrase "misandry irritates, misogyny kills" implies the prejudice is coming from the opposite gender. All these examples are men oppressing other men. Women are not responsible for male on male genocide or military drafts.
