You know we spend a lot of time lamenting about things that we can't have. Men constantly argue that they can't be Chad, and sleep with a platitude of the most attractive women. Women argue that they can't luck up, and get the most special treatment from the most particular men. I think it is rather unrealistic that average people should expect themselves to get above average treatment, that's just not how life works. I think we spend so much time focusing on lifestyles that we never become that we take for granted the situation that we have already.

Alright, heartwarming story I know. But, that's not the point of the post and does not match the title. We both know that there are different ways to both average men and women achieve and perceive sex, and that contributes to how they go about that. After some thinking, It seems to me that the playing field is relatively equal for average people. Yet, I see almost no one point this out and I am baffled that it is not talking about enough.

Average men have a hard time getting frequent sex from multiple women, regardless of how attractive or unattractive those women are. They have to constantly get rejected and go on dates (if they even can), with trial and error. They have to work harder to have substantially more attractive qualities in order to compete with the top percentage of men that do. However when they do, they are essentially easy to arouse, guaranteed an orgasm, and they have more control over the sex in general. The sex starts when they are hard, and stops when they aren't. They can't get pregnant, and are less likely to get STDs than women (even though they are more likely to give them). They are typically bigger and stronger, meaning if they want to do it and their partner does not, they are capable for forcing their will (Whether most men will is another topic). In inverse, if the man wants to stop and the woman doesn't, there isn't much say for her either. Overall, they have to work harder for an award that may be very well worth it to them.

Average women on the other hand will have an easier time getting sex from multiple men, again regardless of how attractive those men are. They have to constantly reject and filter out advances of men, with trial and error. They could choose to compete by dressing more attractively to get more men or men of a higher caliber. However, it's not necessary and it could have the opposite effect: leading to a surplus of unwanted advances and harassment. Moving on to when sex does occur, it is harder for them to become aroused and stay that way. They aren't guaranteed an orgasm, and are more dependent on what that man does in order to achieve this. They could get pregnant, and are typically more likely to get STIs and diseases. They are typically weaker, so they are more often at the mercy of the dude, hoping that guy is not batshit crazy or overbearing. Assuming that everything is safe, the experience may overall be pretty mediocre. In parallel, they do not have to work as hard to find it, but they have to work harder to find something worthwhile.

The only time both parties will have an easier time achieving the same quality is if they find an equal relationship where they both care about what they want, or if they just masturbate. Otherwise, there are trade-offs that seem pretty equal for the most part.

TLDR: If we ignore the top men and women, sex relations between the genders seem equal. Average men have an easier time having quality sex, but a harder time getting it. The opposite is true for women. Of course, this is in context of having casual sex in the modern state of hookup culture. Now, read the last short paragraph before the TLDR for the conclusion/premise, I'm not rewriting it again.
