It’s family court. There are literally zero, as in none, any at all, never going to be, any free attorneys that will represent a dad in family court,

If you can’t sue for a hefty amount of money, no attorney will help you for “free”.

You would have to pay an attorney first then ask for sanctions (ask for legal fees from the spouse). I’m surprised MetLife doesn’t cover it. They seem to cover almost anything. Maybe try reaching out to a few attorneys in MetLife’s network.

You could try legal aid to see if you qualify. The only time an attorney is provided free of charge is to defend you in a criminal case, not to prosecute a civil case. You could also try pro se if you feel comfortable enough.
