Is it casual hookups you are looking for? Then yes, be more direct. But if you are looking for a relationship, perhaps you are underestimating how much patience it often takes. Maybe you aren’t making enough of a connection in person before asking for contact details.

I don’t think a lot of girls give out their contact info out of kindness. They give it out of curiosity. Perhaps you are not piquing their curiosity enough when you text.

Unless she contacts you first if you exchange contact info it wouldn't hurt to be patient. Wait 3 days or so ask her out for an EVENING date and give it a specific time. You don't have to give the details of where or what you are doing to maintain a little mystery. If it's a first date you can meet at the location. My personal preference is an arcade/bar type setting. You sit down talk have a few drinks then get yourself into one of those booth gun shooting zombie games. And mid game tell her you have a secret and kiss her on the lips. Smile for half a second and continue playing your little zombie game like nothing happened. Mission accomplished 🥂🏆

Do you wanna connect? pls forget that asap. Ideally, you just go up to her and decide is good enough for you or not in an ideal world but if you're not there yet it's not a problem you have to be more assertive and ask for what you want, otherwise, if you simply don't ask for it you simply won't get it even if it's just a phone number or anything else, can be your inner game practice simply ask for what you want from others and if you're getting better at it it's gonna be easier with girls as well
