Homie I kind of think the issue is less you change the location and more you admitted to her you forgot to reach out in a different city. "Forgot" is the bus word and implied you Forgot the date all together.

Yes, I think her answer was perfectly reasonable. You forgot the date and changed the location last minute so she said she'll pass. I'd do the exact same thing.

Women don't want to go out with a guy who "forgets" he had a date then tries to sneakily change the location at the last minute that is convenient for him. It's only the second date, and you're not proving yourself to be very chivalrous.

Like what Mark Manson said, if it's not a HELL YES! then it's a no. She was perfectly diplomatic and answered accordingly without being accusatory or being overly dramatic or trying to elicit a guilt trip from you.

It's more likely she was disappointed and has probably written you off, but she's leaving the door open in case you did just have a very busy day and got overwhelmed.

I met this girl online once who changed a meeting spot two times... It was a simple meet and greet at a coffee spot... She changed it to a diner then to a restaurant the same day... After she made the changed change, I remind her that it was a simple meet and greet and not a full date and we should just do the meet and greet first and we can do the dinner date later...

She insisted we go to the restaurant or no deal, like she was doing me a favor... I called it off and never contacted her again...

Looking for a free meal is one thing but behaving like you are doing someone a favor by going out with them is too arrogant and narcissistic...

So you should move on and forget this girl, she isn't flexible...
