I'm like this at times on dates and have caught girls off guard when I go for it. The thing is just go for it, even if it's not the smoothest she's on a date with you for a reason so at least go for it you literally have nothing to lose.

The key is touch. Tell a girl you’ll buy her a shot if she can beat you in a game of thumb war. Let her win. Give her a mild high five. Throw a few jokes, and depending on the atmosphere, close with telling her she has nice lips. If she says you do to, then she’s into you or she at least knows you’re interested in kissing her. If she say “you too”. Play along and ask if you can kiss her.

If she looks at you weird or turns her body at any stage, back off and move along.
