It feels like you need the wit of Oscar Wilde and the charisma of Obama to stand a chance at attracting women and whenever I’ve been successful with women is when I’ve managed to tap into some hidden vein of it and beguile them with banter so smooth I almost end up seducing myself.

However, I’m constantly reminded that most guys are not particularly smooth or charismatic, and yet they have no trouble with women.

I know some some guys who do really well with women and they’re bland as a sun bleached newspaper and as funny as as a fire in an orphanage - I suppose the thing they have in common is that they’re direct when they have to be, but since when has being direct been enough?

In your experience how important is wit and charm? Does it only appeal to certain types of women? Are looks 10 times as important? Do girls appreciate bold action even if it’s awkward and clumsy?
