Hey ladies and lady-presenting people who study in the Central Library,

A guy is going around trying to chat up girls sitting by themselves. Even if you look occupied or you're on a silent floor, he will come up and ask what you study, tell you he is a commerce student, and eventually ask you out for a drink. It should be pretty obvious if it happens.

He has done this with 4 people I know in a short span of time, which makes us all think he does it frequently. It is super unsettling and uncomfortable to think that women can't just study alone in peace.

The librarians have already been told about this, please let them know if this happened (or happens!) to you. They are lovely and understanding.

His behaviour is predatory and unacceptable. Please be wary!

We do know the identity of the guy (name starts with A), so if you have some serious complaints you need help with, don't hesitate to contact me < 3

This post has me concerned about talking to girls around campus for concerns of being labelled a creep. I don't see any issue in trying to talk to girls, but they seem to see it another way. What are everyone's thoughts? What would you do differently?
