Anybody purposely choose to be absent from certain events in your own social circle? Its a tactic I think I heard back in the day on some rsd forums or some shit. But missing something like a bday or a night out at the club to instead be doing something ideally “high value” could raise your sort of “status”.

To me it kinda seems like you aren’t desperate if you don’t always have to be doing what the group is doing I’m curious to hear some thoughts.
