I (male, 24) went to the Park with a friend to play chess. I noticed this cute blond and her friend sitting near us. My friend told me she looked over to me once or twice. I was thinking “should I or shouldn’t I ask her out / for her number?” and as always waited too long and they walked away. I felt bad. For some reason they turned around and walked right past us. I thought “fuck it” and went over. I said “excuse me, I find you cute and was wondering if you would give me your number?” and she then hit me with the “sorry I have a boyfriend”. I guess I must have surprised her a little as she didn’t see me walking up to her since she was in a deeper conversation with her friend. Anyways: Even though I failed I feel great. Great to finally have the guts to be proactive!
