I'm not a fan of this magical spontaneous banter. Never have been. When it works its good but most of the time its really hqrd coming up with good things to say.

So just prepare 2 to 3 really good scripts, good openers, good banter, good pulls.

Most people hate on canned material because they think of the Mystery Method Era Goofy stuff.

But it wasnt the principle of canned material that was wrong, it was just that the material itself was goofy and stupid.

I have a boss. Everybody says he is the most charismatic guy and everybody likes him. I can often accompany him to dinners with other people in the firm and clients.

They all eat up what he says.

But guess what, he always tells the same stories. Its kinda comical. Everytime he will basically tell the same stories and have the same punch lines.

And because theres always new people he never has to think about new stuff.

Its literally the same stuff every time, like a show act.

So what I'm saying is, really come up with some good material. Put your mind to it and perfect it.

Most important I think would be the Opener, Some DHV stories and a some pulls. Thats its for the beginner.

When you have that you can start playing the numbers game.
