What would stop you from taking your girlfriend out with you and a group of people?

Being serious does have a time and place and there are many situations where its much more appropriate than being funny.

Also, its not like you can't develop your behavior so that you can be serious and playful in any scenario.

It just is what it is. I have friends who I'm hanging out with, I have friends I go to the gym with, and I have friends who I skate with. I'm a different person in every context. So you're not boring at all. If I'm alone or one by one with another guy we just talk topic logically, okay if I'm with a girl I flirt and how fun more and more easily but you're not that simple that you're or boring or interesting all the time. Its not how it works

You don't need to be an over-the-top fun guy. Since you're in school, think of the popular guys in your school (that girls check out). Most likely, they're actually just chill, laid-back guys that crack jokes here and there but aren't a goofy clown.
