The biggest way to stop being a nice guy is to stop caring about what others think of you. This is also the key to confidence. Just do the things you want to do (within reason of course, don't be an idiot) and don't worry about others' opinions.

Read No More Mr Nice Guy.
Don't listen to those that said "you want to change your personality because a girl say yadaya don't worry you king, go get that pussay". This is bullshit. You got valuable feedback from a girl who cared to listen to you. Act on that feedback.
It has been proven times and times again that girls like GOOD guys, not NICE guys.

Basically, a nice guy puts other people's needs above his own hoping to be rewarded for it and a good guy puts his own needs above everyone's needs and only is nice to those who earned it when he has time to.

Is this book really that good, I have heard of it? Can you share a couple important points from it?

Erm…well…I’m not sure why you want to change your personality. Because a girl said so?
My husband is very masculine and a good man. He’s not at all a bad boy. He’s comfortable in his skin. He attracted me with his kind and shy nature. He was also very mysterious. He still kind of is.
How about just being who you are and just relax?

Lots and lots and lots of girls want a genuinely nice guy. In fact almost every single girl who I know their preferences do. And I know they’re not lying because we were close friends and I see who they end up getting into relationships with. These girls are not the party type so that may make a difference I’m not too sure.
I THINK that what might be holding you back is confidence. I think that you sound like a very good friend, and that’s universal. However the criteria for friendship and relationship can be quite different for most people.
Try to think of it this way, try to weed out the girls who only want to be your friend and not your girlfriend you can do this by making a move once you’ve established some rapport. “Wanna go to the movies? This is me asking you out on a date btw :)” “Can I take you out for dinner on Saturday? It’s my treat.” - this line does not work on long time friends but it’s pretty obvious you’re making a move if it’s someone you’ve met recently. You don’t even have to offer to pay tbh but you sound like you make good money

Being yourself does work, it helps you find a match that is suited to you. Clearly the girl you went on a date with is not a match for you. Keep dating and being yourself and eventually you will find the right person who loves you as you are.

If it makes you feel any better my husband also wasn’t so experienced when we first met.
It sounds like the difference between the two of you is that you’re not comfortable being on your own. Do stuff on your own, like going for a meal, to the cinema or for a walk in the park, and get to know and like yourself. It’ll make it a lot easier when you’re looking for someone.
It’s crazy but it’s true. I always spent a lot of time by myself before I met my husband. I’d go on dates and holidays on my own. I really enjoyed it.
Do you go out and do stuff by yourself?

Don't change yourself for anyone. If she doesn't like you for you, it's her loss man. Keep this shit 🅿️

You are good looking, smart, well-educated, cool, and masculine, BUT you are a nice guy.
I'm reading this as you aren't exciting her. You are good on paper, but you aren't exciting. Work on conversational techniques to keep her interested. I've been watching Charisma on Command videos recently to help me.

It's an evolutionary thing. Do some research online why girls like bad boys, why some girls love guys who go to prison etc.
Basically what a woman wants is a good monster, a tender defender, a beast that will protect her.
Think about the most dangerous person you know in real life but he is kind and good towards you but is someone would mess with you he would fuck him up. That's what they want. Even going towards the known assholes or criminals because it's so important to them. Their safety above all, especially with a beautiful woman.
Some traits that display these things are big muscles ( big guy, burly ) and tattoos. Of course you don't really need that, but it would help.
What i do recommend is learning some form of martial art. Will give you confidence and an edge.
