What people really need to do is learn how to not take things like this personally. If you stay cool, say “sure, no problem” then they ghost you. So what? They’ll remember you as being level headed and low pressure. Maybe a year later you’ll get a hookup or a fwb out of it. I wouldn’t try to date seriously someone who’s done this, but the connection isn’t totally useless and it’s not worth burning your bridge over imo.

You put out enough good energy you’ll collect friends, references, hookups, etc. All that pays dividends

The Tell-Tale sign that someone is blowing you off and not interested is giving you any reason why they can't see you and NOT offering a reschedule.

Even if it's as dumb a reason as their goldfish died, if they're offering a reschedule, take it.

You can always cancel on them if you change your mind.

If someone tries to cancel on you, immediately offer a reschedule and see how they take it. If they're serious, they will work with you on setting up a reschedule. You'll know everything you need to know from the way they react to you offering to reschedule.

Ignore this imo. Be a man of opportunity. The idea of thinking too deeply into why they cancel + the feeling of offense that you need to take it to a level to 'next' them = shows that you feel slighted, which means they affect you, which means in some way you have a value issue going on. Who cares what a girl does? Girls are emotional, flighty, and if you already know this you pre-plan for it. Stuff like this shouldn't even affect you, or phase you. The idea that you would 'next' a potential 'free' opportunity you have to put very little work into at some point down the road is just mindbogglingly short sighted.

Here's a way to rethink this into a positive experience.

Your overall attitude: who cares. no worries. If one girl cancels, make plans with another or enjoy a night off from women

What you do if she rainchecks early: literally 'no worries. lmk when you figure out your schedule'

What to do if she rainchecks past the date: 'made other plans. you totally missed out ;)'

If I have made plans with a girl I haven't had sex with yet, you can be sure I have a couple other options brewing that night based on how the interaction is going. And the fall back interaction is I get a night off to myself, or go out to the bar and cause some more trouble and see who is out.

Biggest thing I've learned when dealing with girls. The smallest amount of hesitation 99% means they are not interested and there is nothing you can do to change that, so stop simping in hope you'll "seduce" her.

Someone once delayed for several hours because they had a last minute ‘interview’. I questioned them a little bit about it and it was pretty clear they were full of shit.

Yeah, ask yourself if you want to be with someone that changes their mind in the last minute for a petty thing. They leave you confused and looking like an idiot that was sparing their time and effort to prepare for nothing. They just don't feel it, but straight rejection is often too aggressive for them to go for that approach, they prefer to just be bluntly inconsiderate and dodgy.

I simply say "okay" and don't bother messaging them again.

If they take the initiative to schedule a second date, that's on them but they won't hear from me first.
