How to touch girls back in a friendly/flirty, non-creepy way?

I’m a virgin and have no friends or social life. I find the idea of a girl being interested in me kinda cringe and unbelievable, I still think they’re playing with me. But assuming they’re not what am I supposed to do?

If you feel weird, you come off us weird. If a girl touches you that's a decent indicator she feels comfortable with you. It's really not about where you touch her, it's just that you do it. You can take her hand into yours while you make conversation. You can gently rub her bicep while you look into her eyes.

While I haven't shared much, I was reluctant to even do this much because I doubt it's going to do you any good because it sounds like you have no confidence and no plan to improve on that. The first question any guy has to ask is "Why should a woman be interested in me?". What is there about you that will capture her imagination? From how you describe yourself, there doesn't seem to be much there.

There are women who have no problem with the "lone wolf" type, but even that guy has to show he can be comfortable in social situations. Being sociable and making conversation is something that can be learned, and that should be the first step in your journey.

You need to be comfortable with touching everyone, it’s like a social skill, you don’t just touch the girl you like you touch everyone casually including men. It only comes weird if you touch in places that are inappropriate like boobs thighs,… or when your focus is on the fact that you are touching them… It needs to be casual, as if to emphasise what you are saying or to give them a high five, or when you launch and you casually touch their shoulder,… etc

With practice you will develop the habit of touching people without even thinking of it. It will just be part of how you communicate.

If you overthink the touching then it will come across as creepy because rather than being natural and smooth, it will be premeditated and forced.

Basically, just physically stand or sit nearer to her than you would generally be comfortable with and let touching just happen. If she likes you, she'll allow you to stay near her. If she recoils or moves away when you get near her then she's uncomfortable and touching isn't going to resolve that. As for starting spots for touching, shoulders, elbows and arms are good, fairly neutral places to start. But the key is being natural. If you reach across the table to tap her shoulder, that's weird. If you're sitting next to her and pull out your phone for a selfie and put your arm around her, that's not weird at all (obviously with context).

One thing I like doing is if you're walking next to a girl, walk practically shoulder to shoulder with her and bump into her shoulder with yours a little bit. This is really good in a wider space because neither one of you have to be close to the other, you just want to be. If she likes you, she'll probably bump your shoulder back. This should not be aggressive at all, basically just brushing shoulders but I always find it fun to do. It goes without saying, you should only use this with girls know and have a good vibe with. Do not do this to random women on the street.

You gotta figure out what level you're comfortable with and go for that. Some guys can just put their hand on a girl's lower back very naturally and casually as they sort of direct them. Some guys do this with everyone, not just girls. Some guys do very minimal touching and some girls are into very minimal touching. Just gotta do you and follow up with people who resonate with that authentic you.

Hey, I'm a girl and if I'm having a conversation with a new person and I'm acting comfortable with personal space, I think a hand on the side of the arm or elbow is a good first touch. Careful of sideboob.

I am someone who is very comfortable with touch and new people so this is also my 'go to' so I can be myself without crossing boundaries.

Go find a local dance class (bonus points if it’s a Latin style of dancing)

By the end of your first class, physical touch will feel like second nature and it’s a great way to get past the physical contact barrier.

After you learn the basis steps, Rico Sauve that girl with a night of dancing (my two cents! the more smaller the venue, the more intimate it will feel)
