All my previous experience would suggest 100% yes! Like everybody's already said, pre-selection is very powerful.

I can clearly remember a time when I had 3 orbiters with whom I would never sleep with because really they were 5-6/10 at best, but just those many girls fawning over you got me the hottest girl in the entire group in the end, solid 8/10. Never cut off ties completely that you don't have to.

At my work you could say I have "orbiters" maybe 3-4 who know they can't get with me but have no problems making sexual jokes or just constantly talk about me. The validation is good and gives you extra social proof so overall I think it is a good idea to have some.

I'd say though a female orbiter is a lot different than a male one where as the male is trying to make the girl his gf, the female version will talk a lot more to her friends about you broadening your social proof without you even knowing it.

Yes... there are girls who keep texting me and obviously hinting at me to make a move and I just throw them a bone or two every now and then... extremely low effort, and it keeps them hoping... they get startled at the DGAF attitude and keep coming back...
