I was out to meet a friend but he was held up so I was by myself for a while. I spotted a pretty girl who looked to be alone too

I approached her and made a comment and then slipped into a conversation. Asked her who she was with and she confirmed to be by herself, also waiting for someone who was running very late

I ask her some questions and I try to relate to her answers whist remembering to demonstrate value (she says she likes to travel and I mention I just got back from Budapest and was in Vegas before that for example. DHV's. Often not possible to do though if you can't think of one that relates to her answer)

I say we should go outside by the heat lamps and she agrees.

We carry on talking. I'm using some pushpulls on her, trying to build some attraction (Even though she agreed to come outside with me, she's not being remotely flirty this whole time, despite my use of dhv and pushpull etc. Usually girls flirt back when they are attracted)

I try to start some touch on her arm where she has a small tat which I comment on but she very slightly recoils. Nothing extreme. I pull back and carry on asking her questions. I make her laugh a few times and say we should go to a different bar but she rejects the idea saying she's OK there. I try to convince her that the bar is better and we can come back if she doesn't like it but again she says 'no thanks, but you can go. It's fine'.

I stay with her and do run more game on her. DHV'ing mainly through body langauge and stuff. I don't have tonnes of stories to make me sounds amazing about every tiny thing she says to use as DHV's so rely more on 'fundamentals' to DHV (funny, good body language, confidence, eye contact etc).

Carry on with some pushpull and teases and try again for a little bit of touch to show some intent, but she calls me out for being 'touchy'. I treat it as a shit test and agree+amplify and she laughs and we carry on talking.

Convo is getting slightly tough here as she's still not really saying a great deal. Kinda like she's just killing time. I try for some touch again and this time she basically says 'You're nice but I don't want to give you any ideas. I'm not into you in that way'. Again, I treat it as a shit test. I'm like 'What way?!! We're just 2 people talking''. She says 'Yeah, but you clearly want more than that''. Can't remember what I responded with here, but was something like ''I haven't decided yet'' as if i'm qualifying her. She says 'well i have! You're cool but just not my type''. (this girls kinda funny)

Got mildly awkwrd here as you'd expect. I've ran everything i've learnt from about 5+ pickup books (vin di carlo, mysterymethod, book of pook, yareally and a few others) but it's like it's not actually doing the job of attracting her

I try to keep convo going, but feel i'm almost out of ideas.

At this point my friend turned up. This is what made me feel like shit lol

My friend is very good looking. He's had girls throwing themselves at him his whole life. Well, within a few seconds of him sitting down, it was so clear that this girl wanted him!! Annoying lol. Firing questions at him, brushing his arm on a few occasions. I'd given up here on the idea of me pulling her so was more just curious about how my friend games and almost listened in like a social experiment whilst pretending to be on my phone (also a last ditch effort at building attraction. Appear disinteretsed. 'Meet disinterest with disinteress' as per mysterymethod)

What I noticed was that the problem of 'running out of things to say' was never an issue for him. Because she was actually the one asking him stuff and taking up the conversational slack. I had to work a million times harder. Also flirting. He didn't really say anything, but she was actively flirting with him. I of course get that from time to time, but not with this girl

Anyway, we stayed with her for a bit. Her friend turned up (married). The girl tried to make sure we all spend the night as a group so that she could try to charm my friend, but I told her me and my friend were going somewhere on our own. She asked for his number but he told her he's got a girlfriend (semi true. He does but he still bangs random girls if they are worth the risk of getting caught lol)

I ended up pulling a girl who came and sat next to me as I was slumped on a bench at 2am lol.
