First of all anyone who openly walks around and calls themself an “alpha” is a “beta.” (My opinion is that this alpha beta thing is stupid). If you want to be an “alpha” then work on improving aspects of you’re life and yourself. If you’re trying to sub communicate that you’re an “alpha” to a girl that’s easy if you’re improving and bettering yourself every day.

You can think of alpha as being the leader.

Can you recognize situations in your life when you are being passive and not leading? Can you step up more? When you speak to groups of people, do they tune you out sometimes or listen when you talk? When dynamic situations occur, do you sit back while others solve the problems or do you take the lead to solve things for others?

There are other things associated with it, such as having boundaries and letting people know when they cross them. Most of it is common sense behaviors you would expect leaders would have. But, just try to take the initiative to be more of a leader and seek out opportunities to do this and demonstrate it to people. Just about everyone can improve in this area.

The main thing is if you are always passive and letting others take the lead, work on leading more.

Now, I agree too much has been made of this in the pickup community. We are all betas and alphas. It's not either alpha or beta. Depends on the situation. Its ok to be both at different times. But, just notice when you are not leading when maybe you can. Try to improve. As you do, you will sub-communicate these leader traits.

If you believe in alpha and beta or whatever you’re on the same level as people who believe in horoscopes. Whatever you read seems to forget that you’re dealing with humans and not animals. And don’t use the whole people are animals argument people seem to forget that we have evolved past that.
