I'm guessing everyone has been in an interaction where there is a party, surely every time a guy, who is really aggressive and forceful in expressing himself, his views and desires. I'm not even talking about fist fighting here, simply about people that try to show dominance by trying to break your hand when shaking hands, people who try to "make" other people do something by physically forcing them (e.g. "Let's go over there", push) or even people just being too aggressive in a conversation.

When it comes to a fist fight - you simply decide whether to fight or not, but how do you calmly stay assertive and "alpha" or "dominant" (not in the sense of dominating other people, but in the sense of not leting those people do whatever they like) or whatever word you choose, when the situation is not at that end of the spectrum of aggression, but simply overly-forceful, overly-aggressive behaviour, be it with physical or not?

Some examples:
1. Some guy (e.g. a friend of a friend, or a co-worker, etc.) that you know says "Let's go play table tennis". You say "I don't feel like playing table tennis right now" and the guy says "Oh, come on, let's go", followed by a push in that direction. You stay at your spot, trying to be assertive and so on, maybe even reiterate your lack of desire for table tennis, but the guy continues to push and you get in the akward situation of being pushed out of balance (for the sake of the argument - you're the smaller guy), simply because someone is being overly-forceful.
2. You're talking to a group of people, or at least trying to talk, but there's one guy that's constantly interupting you, being loud and annyoing and keeps dissing you all the time.
3. The awfully hard handshake - someone comes to greet you, looks you in the eye and shakes your hand. Pretty standart, but this guy is intent on breaking every bone in your hand. Sure, if you'll probably live through that, possibly even without showing a sign of disturbance and others won't even know what happened. But you and the guy will and for a really long time, the guy will feel he's superior and possibly act in some instances like the guys mentioned above.
4. The rare situation where a guy is displeased with something that you did and confronts you face to face. And I mean really gets up in your face, possibly screaming, spitting and so on. Some people bluff with that, some people are on the verge of a physical confrontation, but in any case, dropping on the floor, curling up into a ball and crying yourself to sleep is not the best reaction to that situation.

I'm asking you guys, because this is part of the interaction with people and this place is pretty good when it comes to that knowledge. Also, a lot of those instances are people trying to AMOG you, after all, that's one of the obvious reasons to try to show dominance.

P.S. Don't get me wrong, I don't care about being superior to people, just being equal and letting them and other people know it.
