Is this an effective way to open women in clubs or bars?

Apparently this is how Tusk opens in bars and clubs and it works for him (although he's a very handsome guy, so kinda makes sense)

For me personally, It's been a bad opener. ''Thanks but no thanks'' kind of reply

I feel as though opening so direct is more suited to daygame due to the shock factor and that it shows more confidence in the day time (although it will still only 'work' if she thinks you are hot)

In bars, going so direct kind of might come across as cheesy, and pickupy, and can get her guard up instantly.

I don't have anything against direct appraoches. There's a few PUA's who seem to kill it with direct game. And I even try (unsuccessfully) myself some nights, but in general, I don't really see it as 'seduction'. It's more 'hitting on girls'. I feel as though there is a difference.

I try too imagine random situations. Say you are a driving instructor and you have a gorgeous 22 year old learner. You want to 'seduce' her. Do you just tell her she's hot? Is that 'seducing' her? Is it 'seduction'?

It can open the conversation.

But "you're cute" forces a girl to make a decision about your own cuteness right then and there.

People that recommend those type of openers also recommend going to the gym for the purpose of looking better, not for general self improvement.

Just find something to say. Neil Strauss swore by casual conversation openers like "my friends and I were just debating something and wanted to get your opinion..." Etc.

I tend to look at the girl, find a quick topic to talk about like her clothing choice, maybe make a joke or two to tease and then follow up with the blind date opener or something. Then you can seduce from there once you have their attention.

Protip: tell them you can't stay for long because you have to get back to your friends or else risk them seeing you as the guy who won't go away.

Edit: I don't really like the compliment opener because it puts them immediately in a position of power over you. And, as people have said, it makes them decide on if they like you purely on first looks.

I have used a variation of this where I basically walk up to them and say

“Hi, you’re unbelievably gorgeous. My name is ... tell me all about yourself.”

I would have to go with creating a reason to talk to them ex: Accidentally bump into them, tell them they have something in their hair, anything really.

In a club or bar situation I’ve always felt a lot more comfortable talking to a girl who doesn’t think I’m hitting on them. You can let your intentions be known when the time is right. but unless you are or look like a male model, the cold approach is a tough one to pull off.

To summarize: Bars and Clubs are great examples of a “grease the wheels” kind of situation.
