Asking a girl out while using the word 'date'.

Whilst focusing on my inner game, I've pondered this question for a while. Sedditors, I would love to hear your opinions. I feel the word 'date' removes a lot of ambiguity from asking a girl out, what do you guys think?

It removes ambiguity but comes with too much baggage. Using that word leads girls to evaluate you on the basis of whether you'd be good BF or serious relationship material. Which chokes out the fun and spontaneity because all of a sudden the interaction has to reach a certain standard instead of just being what it is.

So you'll have some girls count you out without taking the time to explore things.

I usually say something along the lines of "Let's grab a bite to eat sometime or something like that", but I feel this isn't as clear as straight out using the word date. Any examples of it in practice if you do use it? Should I add it to my game?

It's better to suggest hanging out or invite her to join you as you do some fun activity.

The issue that you are trying to resolve, will not be resolved by calling it a date. If you want it clear that you're interested, you don't make that clear by calling something a date. You make that clear by ACTING during the date: kino.

It removes ambiguity, but it also makes it seem far less casual, which can be good or bad, depending on your intentions. If you want to date and have a relationship, use the word date. If you want a hook up or casual dating, don't use the word date.

That being said, I think most women, myself included, typically assume pretty easily that a one-on-one hang out with a guy like this is typically a "date" style thing, whether it has the title of date or not.

Women are smart, they usually know its a date when you ask. Unless its a women you've been friends with for awhile.

I wouldn't use hangout, unless you are looking for a bowling partner or something. Friends hangout. I don't initially use the word date either.

If you are running attraction/solid game (including an SOI), your intention should be clear (hence no ambiguity), even if you don't use the word date. Wish I would have seen this thread a couple weeks ago before I asked this girl on a date. She didn't directly say no, but her response wasn't exactly what I hoped for. Yet, she's still willing to hang out with me, and even suggested going out to eat for the next time we "hang out."

What could this mean? I've been getting pretty mixed signals from her.
