What are good activities to meet girls when you cannot drink and have high-functioning autism?

My advice is to not try to get girls, but to make friends and get to know plenty of people(both genders) if you come across friendly, then girls who know you will think of you like that.

From there you can start chatting to different girls and showing interest in them or you can start asking men(or boys) about girls.

This is better than actively trying to get a girl.

But don't take my advice if you don't want to.

Make an online dating profile. Write short notes to the girls you like to try and initiate, but limit it to around three sentences, because you don't want to waste time writing a magnum opus to someone who hasn't written back yet. Say how's it going, mention something about their profile, and ask a question about their profile. "How's it going? I like that movie that you like too! What made you want to be a (insert profession here)." Make sure the question is open ended and will take them more than three words to answer. I understand that usually autistic people have better luck communicating in writing. You can flirt with the girl via text for a bit, and then when you finally decide to go out, you don't have to worry about her cues, because you know that she already likes you. If you do get rejected, don't beat yourself up about it. We all get rejected. It's not you. It's her.

Always assume she likes you, unless she expressly tells you otherwise. That's what we tell everyone to do with or without autism. There's no reason it won't work for you. In some ways mild autism can be an advantage. Not noticing the confusing crap that women try to throw your way will make you seem more confident, and thus sexier. Women don't want men who understand them emotionally. They want confidence. And you are King Confidence.

To meet women in person get involved in something you enjoy, that women also enjoy. Not video games or chess club or something where the men vastly outnumber the women. Join a club. Volunteer. Get involved with local politics.

If you are really concerned about your autism thing, go to a high functioning autism support group. They'll reassure you, and who knows? There might be some babes there that will understand you better than anyone. If there are ask them out. But don't feel like you are limited to autistic girls. You can date whoever you want. All men are terrible at reading girl's nonverbal cues. You might be a little worse than average, but it's not going to stop you.

Don't completely write off girls in Alcoholics Anonymous. There are some nice girls in the rooms. The only issue is if you have sex and then you have to see them at the same meeting every week.

Make friends with your co workers. I'm an introvert who is uncomfortable around large groups and since you spend time with these people it pays off in the long run. You not only make friends, practice socialization, and then meet their friends. Undoubtably they all have female friends. Also check out any groups and activities for quiet/shy people. You will run into several people who are either autistic or introverts and have common interests as you. Start slow and what you feel comfortable with.

I really like going to Hookah. It is very social and you can just join a group and smoke with them. I actually going dancing in a bit with a girl I met at hookah. Wish me luck! :P

Just because you do not drink does not mean you cannot go to bars. "Tonic, three limes" is my drink. You better believe I make fun of the bartender if they do not give me my three limes and they remember my drink. I have a place where they have a non-alcoholic drink named after me, people other than myself have ordered it. Nothing you do is awkward unless you make it awkward. If you do not feel comfortable at bars, you can try lounges, jazz clubs, museums, places with physical activities such as rock climbing or crossfit. Please realize that around half of the population is female. Any place you go will have females. Stop over thinking it and go do things YOU like. Everything else will fall into place.

Saving for retirement? You seem pretty young. Start saving for retirement when you have excess money to actually save, not when saving for 35 years down the road (guessing its 35 years away) is costing you major sacrifices today.
