So two nights ago, I went on a date with a girl who's been giving me mixed signals for god knows how long now. I keep putting her on the backburner, and then always wind up hanging out again. We went to some club thing at some bar. She also seems really nervous at all times around me.

Past Confusing Body Language

Last time I hung out with her, she was drunk (not blackout, and remembers everything), and tried to make out with me (we've kissed when we first met a few months back) but then she pulled back the last second constantly apologizing for how annoying she is, etc. I wound up crashing at her house that night but nothing came of it besides some light cuddling. Ok, whatever. I figure tonight I give it another shot.

Escalation Confusion

She never really reciprocates anytime I escalated in the past. When standing on the side of the bar, she usually complies, but on the dance floor, not in the least bit. I find her constantly spinning away, I try to grab her hand, she'll pull back.

I tried to take her hand a few times, and she's always pulling back...I originally wanted to go for a kiss, but with all the pulling back with such light stuff, it never actually felt right. Do you think I made the right decision? Usually I would just go for it, but with the amount she was pulling back, I felt like that it would be really damn unnatural

Then she was telling me she was trying to get her friends to come out, but they didn't want to... But she also didn't want to leave.

The thing that really pissed me off

At one point I had to leave the dance floor to go get a drink, and she opted to stay. I saw some dude approach her, and while she wasn't really all over him or anything, I saw him approach a bit and she didn't really pull back as much as she was with me... It was short lived because she did eventually pull back.

This pissed me off incredibly so, so much to the point that while I was at the bar I saw a cute girl at the bar who came up right next to me and smiled, so I immediately opened her while I was waiting for my drink. The girl I came with saw me, and I ignored it, and continued to talk to this girl for 5 minutes (who then sort of cornered me and got really close to my face... and while I was pissed, I'm not a big enough asshole to go make out with another girl when I'm on a date).

Later On

After that whole fun thing, she was still pulling back on the dance floor, and in general it seemed. But then she'd do something random like touch my face (but when I was driving and couldn't possibly kiss her without dying)

TL;DR: So Seddit... What the hell is up with this chick? What the hell is up with me for putting up with this shit? Am I just the mayor of the friendzone or something? I told my friend about it and he essentially said it sounds like she's a high school girl, not in her late 20s. I'm also trying to remain really outcome independent about it because overall, I did have fun for the most part..
