I have easily made friends at my new job, men and women. It helps when you're comfortable in your own skin and really happy about your own life. At the end of the day it's about self improvement. If you're busting your ass trying to become the best version of yourself then you'll exude confidence which is attractive to both sexes. So I'd just focus on improving you. It impacts your life positively in multiple ways.

It's because these people you're pointing out don't have the goal of meeting people and creating relationships. That's more of a byproduct of the goal, which is to be the best version of yourself (and if it isn't, it should be.)

These people you're pointing out (lack of a better term) are living their lives, and something about it captivates others enough that it makes them want to be around this person. They may find value in that person, share common interests, or even look up to that person, just as you are doing. These people have something, they have it. And everyone wants it.

It's really hard to talk in gamey terms with this sort of thing. It's just that those people are fun. They add to the vibe.

You're obsessing over the results, of having 'fun people' and 'hot girls'.

If you're thinking about friendships in such mercenary terms, you're not going to make friends. Think about it.

You're going to be that guys saying 'I'm only going to come if there are hot girls' and 'I only want to be seen with cool people'.

Do you want to be the douchebag who literally doesn't care about people and only wants the Instagram asshole lifestyle?

Fun, party people and social groups like to meet new people who are just enjoyable to spend time with. That can be anything, they might be funny, they might have hook ups at cool events they can recommend, they might be generous and host parties or treat people to fun days out, they might just be enjoyable to talk to or go and have adventures with.

Fun people like to spend time with fun people, that's it.

You, right now? You're not fun, you're bordering on being an asshole who judges potential friendships by what it will gain them and the girls they can connect with through it.

Just go and meet people and hang out and have fun with friends you actually like spending time with. That's all that matters.

be fun, social, and confident is the answer (although a good sense of humor can help), not having money or hold overs from college. Go to events where you will meet people. If you have common interests/hobbies (the arts, music, food, culture, etc), it will help you target the right crowd. Meetups can work. Social circles aren't always the best way to meet hot women since you can only access what is IN the circle (the girls may not be hot) or they may not be single. Go out and do actual cold approaches (day game or night). You can also hot happy hours, and themed events. When you see the hot girls, approach them immediately.

For me, it was through work. I had a lot of young female colleagues that I was on good terms with, and never hit on them out of professionalism. That, and just having a large friend circle meant that I was often out with a lot of attractive women. I got a few comments about it.
