So I've been going around TRP for a while now (even made a post!) and I came across a post that talked about the red pill and Buddhism. I'd provide a link if I had saved it, but it's currently near 6AM and I have a class in a bit, so I'll get to the point.

One day, I was at the mosque talking to the sheikh about random stuff (college, relationships, life, things I needed advice on, etc.) and I asked him a question: "Why do Islamic men prefer women who wear hijabs over those that don't?". He proceeded to tell me this story:

One day, a wise sheikh was walking through town. He was well-known throughout the town for his knowledge and kindness. A man in a suit came up to the wise sheikh and asked him near the same question you asked me: "Why is the hijab so important?". The sheikh smiled to the man and asked the man to walk with him. The sheikh bought some candy and held two pieces in his hand. He unwrapped one and dropped both pieces on the ground. The man, in respect, quickly picked up both pieces and said "Here you go, sheikh, take this piece. The other one is dirty." The sheikh then told the man, "See, this is why we prefer women who wear hijab. When they are covered, they are protected and pure. Without the hijab, they are unprotected.".

Now, I know that this, just as all things, isn't cut and dry. There are girls who wear it and are loose, there are girls who don't wear it and are very chaste. But in my late hours of studying, I recalled this story and thought it had red pill in it.

Edit 1: Just got back from my exam and fucking aced it! But I digress. I really like the discussions/comments being left here, both good and bad (though I feel like there's a sort of stigma being applied due to Islam being mentioned). I want to open up on why I chose this story to talk about: While browsing TRP, I've noticed a lot of studies/theories on the whole "girls with more sexual partners have a lesser chance of sustaining a fruitful LTR" or something like that (correct me if I'm wrong). Generally, a woman who wears the hijab is approached a lot less than women who don't wear it, so it's a generalization that women who wear hijab are more "pure". And I'm not saying that having had sex is a bad thing. In Arabic culture, which is what a lot of Muslims are, chastity/purity is a huge thing. My neighbor, a Palestinian girl, has told me how some people around her hometown in Jordan were killed due to having premarital relationships. Straight up murdered. That's why I mention the whole "pure/chaste/sexless" thing. It's a culturally relative issue.
