Just pick one and do it.

Texting is more casual. Phone is more personal. But fretting about which to use it unreasonable.

Just call her up and and ask her if she wants to hang out or do something with you this weekend. If she doesn't give you a straight answer (or you get her VM and she doesn't return your call), move on.

Rules I've heard:

Do not text to avoid calling. You're foregoing opportunities to be charming and also leaving a permanent record of everything you say, which kills the mysteriousness factor.
In calling, wait as long as you can. If you were talking to some HB9 who was getting hit on left and right in a loud club, you can bet you didn't make enough of an impression to wait around 3 days before calling. She'll have no clue who you are. The stronger the impression you made, the longer you can wait. Rule is never let the line go slack.

I personally wouldn't have gone for the text that night. DHV-ing through "I care about you" statements is kinda AFC. You just met this girl - you shouldn't have a reason to be so concerned about her.

When to stop calling: I make a call like two days later. If she doesn't pick up, I'll text. Plausibly, she didn't pick up when I called because her phone was off or she didn't recognize the number. Hence the text. If she fails to respond to either, drop it.

BTW, food for thought: a surprising portion of the population doesn't do texting in the US because of the cost. She might have no texting altogether.

You could try texting her during the day:

"I just met your twin."

I can pretty much guarantee from anecdotal evidence this will get a response unless they weren't attracted to you in the first place. Depending on how she does respond, take it from there. Maybe flirt a little more, leave it hanging, then in the evening give her a call on the phone and you can follow up right off the bat with whatever you guys ended up talking about over text. Banter for a couple of minutes - then suggest plans.

Dude, I'll always text that night, but I don't like your text at all one little bit. Far too nice guy. That said, if she'd been pretty in to you, you'd probably have gotten a response anyway.

I'll try and throw in call-back humour: "Hey, hope that creepy guy didn't steal any more of your drinks xx" or whatever, but "Hope you get home ok" is dull!
