So this year I've finally decided I'm going to quit being so beta and find out what it means to be a man. Being a child to divorced parents since the age of five- and never seeing my dad often enough- I've never really known what it really means to be a "man." But I'm trying hard, I've printed out a entire year calendar to remind me how fast a year goes, and I'm color coating each day so I can reflect on this year and witness how much I've spent in personal growth or by when I've accomplished my goals.

So when thing today I did to help me grow a pair was go sarging, and I haven't done this since last year. Unfortunately no one else in my social circle is into PUA, but I've explained it to me best friend in hopes to try to get him into it, with no success- yet. However he agreed he'd come with me today for motivational support. To get me motivated I gave him $30 in five dollar bills and told him for every set I decided to open to give me $5 back.

First Set: HB7 and HB4. I see these girls when walking into the store, but take to much time to think of an opener. Finally while looking at belts I decide to ask them which one looks better. Just as I do this the manager of the store starts helping the HB7 with earrings, leaving me only talking to the HB4. Both the manager and HB4 give me an opinion, I eject. I don't do fat chicks.

Second set: HB5 and HB7. I decided in a store before to spray cologne on my wrists for a canned opener. I said it's my dad's birthday (THE TRUTH) and I don't know what cologne to get him (THE LIE). I walk their way (a little obvious that it's intentional. I whisper to my friend to go this way, even though we were heading the other way). So I ask them for their opinion, and they both give an awkward smile. They tell me it's weird that I just go up to them asking them to smell my wrist. I tried to keep my frame and tell them I just need an opinion, but my legs are starting to shake, my voice isn't loud enough, the awkward sets in. I eject.

Third set: HB6. I'm getting my dad his birthday gift, behind me is a girl that I use my canned opener on. She gladly smells my wrists and gives me an opinion. I tell her she has good taste. She's very nice and begins to tell me how people have been randomly (blatantly) asking how she got a small burn mark on her face. A nice conversation starts from there. Once I purchase my item I wait for her to tell her it was nice meeting her. She's with a group of her friends. They happen to be friends of mine I haven't seen in a long long time. Hooray social proof :]! However I don't follow this group, I've got to stick with my own group. I eject.

Fourth Set: HB5 and HB8. Another store. While checking out pants I see these women. I'm starting to not care about all the possibilities. This is called confidence. I use my canned opener. I goes pleasantly with plenty of laughs and etc.

I didn't go for anything more than just to open sets cause the purpose of this was to work on my AA. Although I have a feeling I could've got a number close from set 3 and 4. So next time I sarge I know I need to work on transition, building comfort, and inserting time constraints.
