I met a girl via OkCupid recently and have seen her twice. Both were good times, though I'm not really too into her. We get along well and have fun together, but 1) I don't find her that attractive - she's about a 'meh' on my attraction meter. I wouldn't push her off me, but I'm also not very sexually motivated by her. 2) We have little in common. I don't need to date a female clone of myself, but we are quite different. Really don't see LTR material here.

I'd probably do the LJBF speech, and it wouldn't be a lie - I'd definitely hang out with her more, but I'm coming from a place of little experience with women, and am wondering if trying to push this forward would be good experience. I've been really working on myself this last year or so and am feeling SO MUCH more confident and attractive than I ever have, so if you were going to say I'm coming from a scarcity mentality, I don't really feel that is much of this issue since I am confident in my future growing dating life.

She seems to be into me, adjusting her schedule to see me, texting often, coming to me rather me to her, etc. Haven't kissed yet, but last time I saw her there was an obvious opening I believe, but I was wrestling with these feelings and didn't take action (or wussed out...not sure...).

She seems like a fun friend, and I'm also keen on expanding my social circle because it is lacking in women, especially in the city I just moved closer to (she is in the city).

She should be coming to a Halloween party at my place tonight. I told her to bring friends if she wants. What are your thoughts on how I should play this? What are your opinions on "practicing" on girls you're not really into? Unethical? I don't want to hurt anyone. I feel like telling her LJBF, but part of me also says I'm wussing out.

Thanks for insights.

TLDR: Practice on girls you're not that into? Or friendzone them and reap social circle rewards?

Update: She came to the party, didn't bring friends (grumble) was fun, but nothing that changed my mind about my attraction to her.

Called her up just now (Monday night), chatted for a few minutes then did the LJBF talk - she said she was disappointed but seemed pretty cool about it. Didn't seem so hot on being friends, but I told her to gimme a ring if she still wanted to hang as friends. "We'll see."

Wasn't fun, but it's not fair to her or me to keep pushing something I'm not really into.

Appreciate the advice, folks. To greener pastures for me!
