It's because 8s & 9s get hit on so much that they know that every guy they talk to is trying to pick them up. Knowing someone is trying to pick you up is a big turnoff. That's why negs are so important for them, it tells them that you're not that into them, so that makes them more comfortable around you.

7's are where it's at. They're hot, but they're not quite hot enough to have give the stuck up bitch routine.

Also, remember that the 1-10 scale is geographically dependent. If you want hotter girls, but have trouble with 8-9's (understandably so, they make themselves harder to approach), try a new venue. Try going out of town, to a bigger city with prettier girls.

You have to use your high standards and work them in your favour, while you're at your teasing and your games, throw in bits about your ideal type of woman (personality wise aswell as physically) and make them live up to your expectations.

If you're looking for a woman who makes you laugh then in your routines, casually mention that person x makes you split your sides laughing and say how much you love a good sense of humour. Then ask if they have a good sense of humour, make them prove it etc etc

I've heard some pickup theorists say that 8's and 9's are even easier to game than less-attractive girls because they aren't used to guys acting disinterested in them--which makes you so much more attractive in their eyes if you accomplish it.

You just have to be willing to see through their front. Some of them are stuck up sure, but alot are just cool chicks. Try to see things from their point of view: guys that hit on them are: self-centered douchebags, creepers, or dudes that are intimidated by their beauty. Be none of these.

Just go up to them and just start talking as if you knew them forever, completely unphased. Make eye contact, some observations and disqualify them, meanwhile demonstrating that you are fun. Keep a strong frame. Most of what you are trying to do is be non-reactionary while being entertaining. Hotter girls will actually like you more for not hitting on them, it'll be a breath of fresh air for them. Just kick back and chill with them.

Then here is the kicker, as soon as she starts hitting on you, flirting or dropping IOIs. Loudly and verbally put her in the friendzone. "Woah woah woah, lets be clear here, I just want to be friends with you... you're in the friendzone... Don't get any ideas. :)"

Its hard to describe because it falls entirely on your ability to hold an interesting conversation without giving her any signs you are interested in her.

8s & 9s are waaaaay quicker to reject or blow you off at the first sign of betaness or supplication. They are absolutely bored by guys sucking up to them.

I'm with a 8.5-9 on a regular basis now. What works for me was a lot of cocky funny. We texted for weeks. We both sent and blew off a bunch of last minute "I'm out right now, meet me here" or "going to this show tonight" invites. Basically, I took her flakiness in stride and piled on my own aloofness.

Be unflappable, be aloof, and be sexual.

edit Oh, I was "dating" 3 other women during this time period, and had three vacation hook-ups as well. Otherwise, I don't know if I could have been patient and aloof enough to game this girl.
