This is purely anecdotal, but it seems like it should work for others.

I chatted up a girl for about 10 minutes, grabbed her number, and we ended up going out a couple weeks later. I know, it should have been faster but there were logistical issues involved. Anyways, we ended up going to a local microbrewery with some awesome beers. What does she order? A mother fucking Budweiser. Naturally I started chirping her eg "seriously?", "omg this is embarassing", etc.

We've gone out several times since then (we're officially together now) and, of course, she orders Bud. sigh. It's became a game; she'll look me in the eye when she orders just to rub it in.

She was coming over to my place on a Friday evening and I needed to get some beer. What did I get? A case of Bud. It killed every part of my soul, but I got a case of Bud.

When she came over I offered her a drink and she said a beer would be great. Without saying anything I grab a Bud from the fridge, twist the cap off, and hand it to her. Her reaction was absolutely priceless:

Her: "Let me get this straight. You, the biggest beer snob in the world, bought Budweiser. A case of Bud. I....I don't know what to say."

Me: "How about 'Thanks'?" *wink*

Her: "Thanks!"

Me: "You better be thankful! Do you know how embarrassing it is to buy a case of Bud? God, I don't know how you drink that shit" *grabs Bud, starts drinking*

Her: *shakes head* "I don't know why I like you"

I had a similar situation arise later with pulp/pulp-free orange juice. Pulp-free? Fuck that.

TL;DR: Teasing her early gives you an opportunity to later show that you're caring and that you listen to her.
