I'll keep this as concise as I can. Background information: it was my birthday last night and myself, my best friend, and two girls were out. We'd just spent the last few hours eating out and at the pub. In terms of PUA awesomeness level, I'm totally a beginner. I'm 5"6 with an average/muscular build and a nice face which helps, though.

So after the pub, we went clubbing. I was having a pretty good time, dancing with two female friends (one of which I'd spent the night with beforehand, let's call her A and her friend B)

About halfway through we went and had a smoke and the three of us socialised. We'd run out of cigarettes between the three of us, so we all had to charm somebody into getting a cigarette. We were loosely in a group, mingling around, when the AMOG appeared with maybe a B5, but I read the situation and knew he was alone. I was with two HB8s, and immediately saw him ditch the 5 and start looking in their direction. I was chatting to a mixed set of 4 people (including the girl he ditched) at the time until I cottoned on to what was going on.

I attempted to open him up as he looks like a protagonist out of a sitcom over here (think Nathan from Misfits, just slightly more grotesque) but was pretty much ignored. I figured he was into his PUA material but took an aggressively antisocial twist on things.

At this point, in hindsight the fact I was pretty drunk didn't help matters, since I essentially downgraded myself from the huge social proof of two HB8s. But I was only really looking to mingle, since I think that getting with one girl and aiming to take someone else home is pretty manwhorish.

But anyway, we finished our ciggies and went back into the main room and this AMOG attached himself to B. She had her ASDs up but was pretty interested yet unimpressed at the same time, as I guess most women would if a dude literally came and grabbed their arm and started pulling her around without much opening or kino escalation beforehand. Both A and I got pretty suspicious, and he literally did 3/4 a lap of the club to try and shake us. Didn't happen.

We ended up going onto the dancefloor and he was saying to both of them "ditch the guy." A and B was telling him to go away, we wasn't talking to me at all, but having racked my mind for ideas and ways I could possibly draw more attention to himself and make him look like a boring idiot, I did what any self respecting guy would: I did the party boy dance in front of him. He kept moving away from me until we eventually left and he didn't follow.

If there's one thing I'll take from this entire episode, it's not to drink too much, otherwise things will go down hill much faster, and if you have far too much, they won't pick up at all afterwards. Guess I was just lucky, heh.
