I just stumbled on this subreddit a few days ago and I love the posts here. Anyways, here is my situation and I want some advice on where I should go from here.

This all started about a month ago. I met this girl at a restaurant and asked if I could call her. I just went for it and she gave me the digits. Very pretty girl and great smile. She is a 8 on the scale if we are measuring. Well I call her the next day during my lunch break and we chat for a little while, then we chat some more later that night. Well eventually we go out for some coffee and then some dinner. I got good vibes from her and everything. She asks me straight up during the first date if I have a gf. I'm like no I don't have a gf. We talked about our pasts, what was important to us, my life, her life, our schooling, on and on and on. Well we have to part ways. She is going back home on college break. I am going on vakay with a group of my friends. I message her while I'm on vakay on fb cause she said to send her a message on there cause we couldn't talk on the phone (no service). We exchanged a few messages, nothing serious. Just stating that I am having fun, yatta, yatta, yatta. She sends me a merry christmas text on christmas morning, really early. So I'm on her mind :-)

Well I get back from vacation, we chat more on the phone and things seem good. Now this is where it gets interesting. I was starting to get the feeling that I was more interested in getting to know her, then her with me...here is why. Delay in text msgs, not picking up on the phone calls..just weird. This didn't happen immediately. She texts me and calls me normally a week out after I get back. We talk every other night when we can and text every so often..I got weird vibes here when she wasn't calling me as much or returning my phone calls or sometimes replying to text msgs. She has been busy with school so I am like w/e.

I don't even call her or text her that much to begin with because I have other priorities. Thing is though, I actually like this girl so far.

Well tonight we were going to get coffee and then she bailed on me because of plans she said she "forgot" about. Then she tells me on the phone tonight, that I think you like me more then I like you at this point in time. I tell her you barely even know me because you've only actually hung out with me once. Grant it we've chatted on the phone, but there is ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN TALK ABOUT ON THE PHONE. I told her I am attracted to her, but that was it because we barely know each other..I want to get to know her I told her. Not to mention, she says she doesn't want to hurt me and that she doesn't know if she likes me at this point in time cause we haven't really hung out. So..she is going out with me this Saturday for lunch and then I have some surprise plans for the both of us...so obviously something is here. NOW

Guys, I do like this girl, but I don't want to fuck this up. How should I proceed here? What will put me in the driver position here? Am I going about this wrong..what? I feel like I care too much about this and it's coming off of as needy somehow. Anyways, let me know your thoughts. I'll try to post and clarify some more.
