Out with NeverSober, Montero, Snarky, theIdealGuy, and Kenno from Bay Area Seddit in downtown Palo Alto. Start around 9:45 at Nola’s where we just kicked it and drank until 11 or so. We moved to Old Pro for awhile then Rudy’s. I opened one set on our way out of Nola’s and got 5 numbers in 6 sets following that. And away we go...

Oh, I left out a lot of detail on all of them so this FR is readable. If anyone wants to know more about a specific set I’ll expand in the comments, just ask.

2 set sitting at Nola's

  • Opened two girls sitting down about how they were ignoring each other on their phones. They were at the table behind us so I put in a couple lines on the way to and from the bathroom. Stopped to talk to them on our way out but no attempt to close. I was hoping to see them later. I did at the bar next door but this time it was when they were leaving. I got in a quick word where I can usually rehook sets but was a little late on this one. By the time I ran into them this second time I'd already number closed 3 girls so I wasn't too concerned.

4 set outside Old Pro – double # close – 1 weak, 1 strong but as friend/wing

Attractive 4 set walks by Old Pro where most of the Seddit guys have just entered. I'm lagging slightly behind, partly because I spotted this set.

As they approach I hear “We should check out Nola's and see if its good, if not, Old Pro.”

Enter Kumar: “Ladies, trust me, Old Pro is way better than Nola's right now. Want to know why?”

Two of the girls had kept walking, two stopped and looked at me. Kumar: “It's because I'm here ;-)” and I enter the bar leaving them outside on their own.

  • I go up to the guys who are near the entrance and ask if they saw the 4 set. Montero responds “you mean the 2 set about to enter?”. I'd assumed the 2 girls would keep moving on and I'd reopen later as usual but to my surprise I turn and see them still outside lighting up cigarettes. I quickly excuse myself and reopen. As I'm walking out of the bar I run into a girl I know from high school who I talk to at the bars when we run into each other. Turns out she was one of the 2 girls that didn't hook earlier. I give her a snide comment about how lovely it is to see but that wasn't why I left the bar. Go direct up to the 2 set.

  • Montero entered pretty quickly after that and really broke down the bitch shield of the girl who I wasn't after. Good conversation all around led to me asking my target if I could bother her obsessively for 4-6 weeks until she came out with me. She laughed and said that'd be cool.

  • Talked to the entire 4 set later, catching up with the high friend and in conversation it comes up that my target isn't going home to some guy at Stanford's. It wasn't said to me so it wasn't really a shit test but I was unsure what to think.

2 set inside Old Pro from previous week - # close - weak

Back to last night: 2 set walks into Old Pro. I stop them with a big smile and announce I know them from somewhere. My target (the white one, of course) says emphatically that I'm wrong and begins to turn. I plow, asking her if she went to Davis. She says no and I tell her, she just looks like a really cute friend of mine from college. She's clearly flattered by that not so subtle compliment and out of nowhere she remembers where she does know me from. For the record, I did not think that I knew her when I opened the set. It was a line.

So apparently this set began the week before when the Bay Area Seddit guys and myself went out as usual. While at Rudy's I saw a two set (these same girls obviously) get bumped pretty hard by a guy that was quite drunk. They gave him an ugly look and he walked off without noticing them. I enter quickly and make them both laugh with a quick “What the fuck do you guys think the empty beer bottles in your hands are for? Solid swing to the head and take that fucker down!” I bounce as quickly as I arrive, don't really remember why in this case but I do it a lot. Never saw them again that night nor do I think I would have recognized them then either.

Some banter ocurred, I had to deal with a couple shit tests that I passed but she didn't really like. Got her number (had to plow through both her and her friend) and bounced. Saw her at Rudy's later and she was pretty cold and uninterested. I might have rehooked her at the end of the night but she hasn't responded to my text message so not sure. Honestly, she was more bitchy and artificial than I really like (I usually like bitchy) so I'm not planning on doing much to pursue. Also, I'd probably rate her least physically attractive of the 5 numbers I got.

2 set outside Old Pro then inside Old Pro

  • I thought this opener was kind of cool because of two things. First, I cut in between a 2 set leaving the bar (Snarky and I were about to go smoke) and I managed to do it in such away that I legitimately opened with a tease about the first one actually cutting me. They laughed and the one behind me caught up to her friend. I was being a fatass and had snatched a nacho before leaving Old Pro which I'd eaten immediately after delivering that tease. I somehow managed to get the one girl to come back to me with a grunt and a hand signal while I finished my chip. She waited and allowed me to reopen which was going well for all of 10 seconds before they ran into friends and we lost the set.

1 set in Rudy's - # close – Strong

  • Standing next to TheIdealGuy (no homo) and Snarky (?) at the back bar in Rudy's. Open girl standing alone at the bar about why her friends are ignoring (I thought the group behind her was with her but nope). Stuck with it and plowed a bit and she hooked.

  • Her friend (girl) came up and checked on her once and I also got AMOG'd by her guy friend. I completely ignored him and kept talking to her and she pretty much glanced at him and chose me to talk to. Nice feeling.

  • She was Colombian so I asked if they had cell phones there yet and if so, did she have one in the US. She said she did and I number closed. Conversed a little more before moving on.

  • During this time the girl who I number closed earlier walked by shot the two of us dirty looks. I was amused.

1 set in Rudy's - # close - Strong

  • Set of the night right here. Only lasted 5-10 minutes max but it was all gold in my opinion.

  • Opened with “What are you doing sitting alone? Have you no friends? Sorry, I know that's a terrible pick up line, but seriously [Kumar motions to the rest of the bar]”

  • There was a lot of fun talk that went on in the couple minutes and I think almost every line helped me out. Here was a good one though. [Kumar notices ring on finger] “Are you married?” HB “No, I just wear it to work because I don't like getting hit on all day.” Kumar: “That's kinda funny because I'm blatantly hitting on you right now” HB “I know... but its ok because you're cute and you clearly have some intellect”

  • I melted on the inside at that one. I got her number and ejected to get back to Montero and TheIdealGuy. They were standing only a couple feet away chilling and she knew they were my friends. I turn around and in the time since I last looked over (maybe 2 minutes previous) they've hooked a set. I turn back to her and continue in conversation.

  • Eventually bounce with the guys, had work early today. Been texting her all day, she suggested a meet up tonight after she gets off work. Down.

1 set in Rudy's from street open

  • Keep this one quick. Opened a set as a warm up on the street while NeverSober grabbed something from the car. Asked where she was going that night, etc, etc.

  • Run into her at Rudy's as she's walking in. Reopen and introduce myself. We shake hands and neither of us let go. We stand and talk, all smile while holding each others' right hand for about 2 minutes. But then she ran off with her friends. I was on my way out the door so couldn't really chase.

Oh, almost forgot. One of the girls I number closed... the bitchy one I don't really like... she slapped NeverSober. I'll link his FR here if he posts. Pretty epic
