Hi all, I don't really have that much trouble talking to girls or approaching them, but I do realise sometimes that whenever I talk to girls my friend(s) usually get much more attention because they're: A. better looking and B. more alpha.

So what happens a lot is that I approach a girl and my friends get the girl! It just happens all the time. I'm also a pretty decent conversationalist but the girls just seem to be more into my friends than me. I think it's because of the combination of looks and alpha-ness.

I'm wondering if you guys recognize this and what you guys did or would do to improve the situation.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this btw, but most of my friends do have approach anxiety and I don't have it as much as they do. Once they talk to girls they're much more alpha than me, but I'd say I'm more alpha when it comes to approaching and making contact. So, that's the thing I'm a bit pissed about atm: I make the effort to make contact and they end up with the girls.
