So, I started chatting on OKC with these two girls. One is a thicker girl, we'll call her Sarah, (not really my type) and the other is a shorter, blonde, we'll call her Sam (more my type). Both are a little older. I am sending emails back and forth to both girls, eventually I give Sarah my number and get her to initiate texts first and Sam and I exchange number and I text her.

So, going back and forth between these two girls, I'm doing a pretty damn good job, too. Very confident, really really good texting. I know it's usually the case that you should keep it short and sweet on texting and not have full conversations, but it's going pretty damn well, so why not? Anyway, I'm talking in innuendos with Sarah, I've got Sam telling me what she's wearing and sending me pictures. One picture she sends me a picture of her with two girls and a guy, she's in the middle looking really cute. I've got Sam describing what she's wearing, trying to give me a mental image because she doesn't want to take a picture of herself in a bra and send it to me.

Because of the flow of conversation, I end up asking Sarah if she wants to do something Saturday. She says her Sat is busy, so I tell her that if she can make sure the date is really awesome, I'll move my Friday plans for her. She laughs responds positively and then I get this text from Sam:

Here's a mental pic. Ya know that chick u just asked out 4 friday night.... did she look familiar from the pic I sent u???

These girls are sisters.

Apparently, Sarah called Sam to tell her about these two guys she was talking to, told Sam my name and it clicked with Sam that she was talking to me at the same time!

My stomach sinks.

I realize I have to take this in stride and try to make the best of it. So, I laugh it off with both girls, they're staying a little light-hearted, but Sarah basically says to me that if she and her sister start talking to the same guy, she backs off because she doesn't want competition. So, I tell her that I respect that, and if she'd mind if I talked to Sam still. I definitely did not want to come off as being an asshole that was trying to game two girls at once (which I was).

Well, Sarah pretty much is telling me that I blew it with Sam, and I'm trying to be Good Guy Geaux, be very respectful to Sam and apologizing for how everything looks. I offer for us to set something up and get to know each other and she tells me that she's going to be busy for the next two weeks. I offer to take it slow, talk over text and phone, so it gives us time to get to know each other.

She says

Ur trying pretty hard.

To which I reply that it's not my normal way of operating, but I do enjoy talking to her and she's more my type and I would feel bad if I couldn't say I tried. Still trying to fight the fire here, to see about making this a long-term game instead of rushing to a date.

The last thing I sent to her was that we could start off slow. We will talk for a couple weeks, see what happens because I know she's going to be out of town and busy and that works in our favor.

Well, I don't here from Sam, I send her another text saying "Sam?" and she said "I fell asleep. I'll ttyl"
