I would like to prefix this post with the disclaimer that I am very inexperienced with pickup and will enthusiastically accept any criticism from more experienced members. Nevertheless, I have found the following advice to be enlightening and useful. Thus, make use of what you will and feel free to disagree. One thing I have noticed since I lost weight and began dressing better is the hair flip. My philosophy on this phenomenon is that a female will engage in the hair flip any time she becomes conscious of her appearance, unless of course, if she has actively trained herself against such a habit. Basically, as she has grown up and looked in the mirror every day of her life, she has learned she looks best when she flips her hair a certain way. Us guys don't do this typically as we have a shorter style under which it is unnecessary to adjust. Now, as a practical matter, one must be very careful to not misinterpret the hair flip. For example, a female may perform the hair flip during a job interview. Is the boss to expect that this job candidate wants to jump his bones? Of course not, appearance is not always about attracting a mate. I care about my appearance even amoungst my male friends. I am not gay, I just prefer to be perceived as attractive. So when is the hair flip an IOI? Well, for one, if you are walking in public down the street during the day, minding your own business, you are well dressed, and you aren't paying attention to anything in particular, and then you catch a girl eyeing you and she hair flips -- you probably should talk to her. This happens to me all the time. I am a college student, I dress well, am clean, I don't get eye fucked by every girl, but every 20 or so, I receive this special response which says come talk to me or your a pussy. I think that is the magic of women, you don't have to be god's gift to every woman, just every 20 or so woman, its a numbers game really. Just put yourself out there and you will find them. If your still not convinced about the power of the hair flip try the following experiment. Next time you see a female friend who is dressed nicer than usual, say: "You look nice today, what's the occasion?". This isn't creepy even if she is just a friend, its just a polite compliment. I guarantee she will smile and do the hair flip. This isn't saying she is attracted to you, its saying she is conscious of her appearance. In conclusion, when you see the hair flip, don't think she wants my dick, think, she cares about her appearance in my presence. This is a good thing, even if she isn't attracted to you, she values you enough to care how she looks. Think about yourself around the fat chick, you don't give a fuck if a booger is hanging out your nose. Now think about yourself around another chick, you do care about the booger, even if you aren't attracted.
