I think you have a shot, depending on how it goes when you meet her. Get HER to drive to you that way you aren't wasting gas, and hang out. Worst case scenario she does only want friendship. No prob you now have a female friend that can hook you up with her friends.

There's a limit to how much attraction you can build over text and phone. It may seem to her like you're moving too fast considering you haven't even met, and that may be prompting the "friends" comment to slow things down a bit. Not that she's not interested, but more as an anti-slut defense.

I'd try and minimize contact until you can actually meet (and do that as soon as possible) so that idea doesn't gain too much traction in her head. Then see how things go.

Prepare yourself for a few shit test and overall qualifying process. The fact that IM and phone game went well is a big plus, but you will have to deliver in person as well. Now that i think, her mentioning "friends" may be a shit-test in the purest form. Just to make sure troll her profile and see what exactly she was looking for. Thing is.. if you wanted to get a date out of her you should have stopped earlier. Staying on the phone/online chatting for hours is something that friends do. The clincher is you actually refused when she wanted to come over and jump your bones. Boggles the mind.

In my own experience, I had a girl refer to us once as "Amazing Friends."

This is after we already slept together, but the term seems to mean "Fuck Buddies."

I fucked up with so many chicks by using the phone. Fuck the phone, I refuse to use it for anything more than arranging for the logistics of a date, I do try to be personable for that brief conversation, but I have had notably more success when I keep phone conversations concise.

Be wary of the phone. Texting is a bit better though.

in my experience, if she mentions being just friends ONCE, its basically set in stone. Anything that made it seem like it was beyond friendship, she was interpreting it as basically a joke.

I have never been able to do anything with a girl who has even mentioned anything along those lines...
