Are "funny" t-shirts a good or bad thing?

All of my girlfriends absolutely hated my funny t-shirts and actively tried to get me to wear something else. I suggest dressing nicely and using your accent to demonstrate value instead of a cheesy shirt.

"Funny" shirts are a bit cheesy, but I have a couple of tees with cool designs that get a LOT of comments. I only have 2 shirts like that and they're wearing out, but that would probably be a better option.

Bad. Your attire shouldn't speak for you. It should make you look acceptable to talk to, but not overbearing. 99% of shirts with any words on them are a bad idea. Your shirt does not need to talk.
