I'm 22 and still live with my mom and at least 30 minutes from the closest downtown. Should I just forget about same night pick ups or is there a different way to go about doing that?
I was in pretty much the same situation a few years back. 30 minutes outside of downtown, living at home. When the subject of "going home" came up, we'd compare where we lived, and since I always lived further out than she did, I would end up back at the girl's place.
I only stops you if you let it.
I will say that such a situation will probably take a toll on any long term relationships you embark upon, though. No hiding or avoiding the subject of where you live, for very long.

go home with them or move out of your parents' house.

why are you potentially cockblocking yourself?
you live at home, accept and own it.

is it really that bad to still be living with the parents at 22? im living in california going to school and working and living at home is just so convenient because i'd practically be broke if i moved out. I plan on moving out when I get my bachelor's but even then I have my own separate room so maybe it's different.

It's not worth it to move out while in college.

i've never heard something as false.
moving out during college defined me and was THE BEST time of my life....

Yes, I am currently moved out - broke sometimes... not broke other times... its a relatively shitty place in a neighborhood that has crappy public transit... my uni is like an hour and a half to get to on bad traffic days... I work nights so I ride a bicycle when I can...
wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

Did you you go to a university away from home, get an apartment there, and went back home over the break? To me that still counts as living at home. It's a subjective thing though.

No, I mostly stayed at school during the break because of jobs/internships/research/classes
actually I never went back for a summer. That might be a bit excessive but living at college is an experience of a lifetime

If you're going to have a poster, at least put it in a cool frame.
Thumb tacks are just... tacky

Ive gotten really good at banging girls in obscure places because of this. Nothing quite like doggy style on a roof overlooking the city.

Move out of your parents house. It's worth it.

Take her to her place. Online dating is helpful for this sort of thing, because you can discriminate against girls who don't already have their own place.
