I was you a month ago. Then I just realise you've gotta have fun. This isn't a dancing competition, girls honestly don't care how you dance. The only important rules of dance game is push and pull.

Side stepping to a beat is a good way of keeping movement cause honestly you don't need to do anything flashy when you dance.

Force the IOI, wave or smile at her. If you get a response back consider that as a openable set, hold your hand out (she will most likely grab it since she responded), spin her around (test for compliance), pull her in closer hand on her back and her hand over your shoulder and just sway about while keeping eye contact.

When I'm dancing with my friends, do you know what I do? I put both arms in the air with fists out and I pretty much just shake my ass and act like a fool while laughing my ass off and smiling. And I change it up with side stepping.

I do that all night and I still open sets on the dancefloor, most of the time people aren't even watching you!

You just gotta have fun and project your vibe out!

The key thing is awareness of your center of gravity. Your center is between your belly button and your groin. This center needs to be the source of your movement (including contact with other people) and the rest of your body should follow.

This pretty much is the only thing I pay attention to when I am dancing. Women and men keep telling me that they like how I dance since I gave up all other rules.

I just started talking to this girl and one of her hobbies is dancing. I'm not great at it but she said she'd teach me. Boom now I know what date two will be and it will be cheap and we will be touching so chance for escalation and all that.
