The 30 day challenge is where you go out and approach at least once every day for 30 days. I'll try to recall each day as best I can so far. I'm 7 days in.

Day 1:

I stopped at a gas station, about 11:00 Pm. I go in, saying the credit card thing outside isn't working (which was true). We start talking about where she's from, she moved to this town recently. She asks if I know someone, I do. I tell her I've been friends with him since like elementary school. We talk a little bit more. I ask if she wants to give me her number. She does. I leave, she says "see you", and in my state of being like wow I just got a number for the first time, I kind of unclearly say bye back to her. I text her half an hour later, "Hey it's venage, what time do you get out of work?" No response.

Day 2:

Go to a coffee shop. Get something, say "I like your pants." "Thanks" she smiles. I don't know what to say next. Panic a little internally. Leave.

Go to rock climbing gym later. Introduce myself to guy with a girl, while girl is climbing. I can't tell if they're dating. She gets back in a little, talk to her too. "How long have you guys been doing this?" Convo fizzles out soon. I say well I'm going to go. Girl seemed kind of interested in me. Maybe.

Day 3:

Tell girl I fancy at work that I'm hanging out with my friend (who I think she knows, not sure how much though) "if you want to join us". She says "I have to check what I'm doing later" quietly. She's pretty shy, hard to know if I like her. Don't want to push it because I don't want to get fired. A lot of people advise against doing this stuff at work. I go to the mall with my friend later. I go up to the hottest girl I've ever approached. Opinion opener. "My friend has been seeing this girl for like 3 years, but they're not dating - and he likes her a lot - do you think he should ask her out?" She actually seems kind of interested and surprised I'm asking her this. She says "Yeah definitely!" I say "Well he likes her a lot.. but we're young, you know? And you kind of want to do other stuff while you have the chance.So it's like should he commit now, or wait?" She says "I think he should do whatever makes him happy." My god, I'm talking to this hot girl I just approached out of nowhere. I say "Alright thanks". And gtfo. My rationale being that I can use this as a good confidence booster, seeing as it's early on for me doing this stuff. I actually don't really regret it... well kind of. I should go up to a really hot girl again.

Day 4:

Go to coffee shop. I say "Did I go to school with you?" to the cashier. She says she's from a town, it's not the one I"m from. I say that I'm from other town. She continues making coffee. God dammit what do I say now. I don't know anything interesting about that town. I don't want to enter interview mode. Get coffee. Say, really expressively and kind of intensely, "Hey your pants are wicked cute by the way." She stammers "uhh" "Thanks". Not like a condescending way or anything. But I might've freaked her out. Either that or it was just me being true and expressive and she liked it. I dunno. I gtfo. Non reaction dependent, felt good.

Go to rock climbing gym later, see a hot girl. "Do you do bouldering?" She says no but she probably should. We talk, she says she does ceramics, I'm like oh I haven't done that stuff since grade school but it's like the best part of art class. I think part of me was trying to neg her. Convo ends. Later I ask "So I'm not even hitting on you when I ask this. How often do guys hit on you every day?" She says "I don't know" and looks very uncomfortable. I stop talking to her.

Day 5:

Go rock climbing, see girl I first mentioned there. She's alone this time. I ask her for advice how to climb. Ask if she goes to school, she graduated. I talk about how I'm taking time off what I'm interested in, tell her I know her school's known for computer stuff. Nothing really interesting. She leaves the gym pretty soon.

Day 6: Go to coffee shop. Ask girl about her piercing. ~20 minute conversation ensues in which she does most of the talking. She talks about drugs and her ex and her daughter, whom the ex is the father of. She says weed and opiates are the same thing. I say they're not. So I'm not pandering to her there. I am really passionate about the legalization of weed and it being better than other stuff, so that's good. She says "have a nice day" and turns around eventually after the convo dies out. Ask her if she wants to hang out some time, she says her fiance probably wouldn't like that. "No boys". I say I didn't know she had a fiance. She says have a nice day again, I say "you too" and walk out.

Day 7:

Go to coffee shop. See girl from day 2. "How long is your shift?" is the first thing that comes to mind so I say it. 8 hours. "When do you get out?" She talks to two other girls there during this, one a coworker one some girl who's there. She asks how long she's been there so she can answer me. MUST NOT GO INTO INTERVIEW MODE. What do I say shiit. I think she's interested shiiit don't ruin this. Shiit brain don't think that way. You're not helping brain just give me something to.. I need to gtfo and fight another day if I see her again, though I might just have the same thing. I get out.

I'd like to go to the mall more, but on work days I do evening, which my sleep schedule is currently set to wake up right before. And the mall is closed after.

Thoughts, questions, critique, advice, etc.? I think my biggest sticking point right now is not being able to keep a conversation going. And I know the concept of conversation threading.
