I'm very new to this but obviously you're doing something differently to the more attractive girls. You may not see any dip in confidence but maybe it's some other behavior?

With the 6s...you aren't trying (or putting them on pedestal) ...so you are more natural with the 6s.

The trick to landing the more attractive women if you are average looking, is to knock the woman off of her pedestal. In other words, be kind of cocky, but not an asshole. Show her the confidence that she isn't too hot for you, in fact, act like she is just another girl you're talking to. This will bring her down to your level and she'll melt in your hand.

Higher status girls are harder to get. Maybe you're just not there yet. Averagish looking, averagish game, averagish status.

The notion that you treat them the same and things will work in your favor is a useful simplification. Treating them the same is better than putting them on a pedestal, but in reality it may not be enough.

Maybe you're feeling less "in the zone" because a lot of the more attractive women give less overt IOIs, so maybe you don't feel as though you're doing as well.
You're putting them on a pedestal.
There's a lot of competition for them. And the competition tends to get fiercer the hotter she is.

In the past, I would sometimes get hung up on this too. Except it wasn't with girls of different numbers (you should really stop rating girls based solely on physical appearance by the way, that's incredibly unhealthy). My problem is that I always attract a specific race of girls, black girls, and I'm honestly not attracted to that. The other girls that you're interested in won't show immediate attraction to you from the start (which is what I think you want), but you can still get them attracted to you through game and just an overall good character
