Let me get started by describing myself. I'm probably at best a 6/10, light brown, tall, and a decent sense in fashion.

Its nearly 9 at night here, and I'm sitting here with an empty feeling, with a hint of annoyance. After my previous post, this happened:

Arrived outside my tutorial class half an hour early today with my friend (B). As we waited, in my books, a 7-8/10 girl (A) walks in and sits on the couches opposite. The AA kicks in, and I end it there.

(Quick brief on the girl: international student from South America, first year (same as me), cute accent)

The half hour is up, and I end up holding the door for a few people, and the girl walks past. I see her walking in and sitting 2 seats away from my friend. Here's mistake 1 coming up: I decide to sit next to my friend, leaving 1 seat in between myself and her. This is probably because I'd given up on even going ahead with the approach. Surprisingly, another acquaintance I know turns out to be in this class and enters to take the missing spot. Fair enough.

5 minutes later, we're to do a group activity. A is alone, so she joins our group of 3, making it 4. Out of the 3 guys in our group, I decided to introduce myself, shook hands and said it was lovely to meet her. Got a similar response back and I felt a hint of confidence. A few moments later, in a group conversation, turns out she is in the same lecture after this class as me and B. B, my on-the-spot wingman says to her 'We all can be friends! Come sit with us in the lecture', which between me and him meant he will leave me with her (sweeeeet!) She responds with a spontaneous yes, and I'm getting even more confident in being around her.

Was hard to get 1 on 1 with her in this class, because 1) my other friend was sitting between us and 2) she was paying a lot of attention in class.

Anyway, class finishes, I'm packed up early, and waiting for her. We walk to our lecture, and find out a few things, which now are irrelevant considering the outcome. International student, new to campus, only here once a week as all her other classes are on the secondary campus. This gave me a way to show her around and lead the way, which I did. Got into the lecture, yet again she payed too much attention and was nothing but silence in the room with everyone for 1.5 hours.

Noticed she was getting constant texts on her phone from a male name. Had me tripping, and suspicious. What do you know. Class finishes, I show her around the campus a little bit more, and by now I've made a few compliments on her accent and smile. Plan was to get outright when she was going to head off, ask for her number in order to grab some coffee next week, but then as we walked towards her destination, I asked:

"So where are you headed now?"

"Oh, well my boyfriend is coming to pick me up."

Fucking boyfriend. Who else, but her fucking boyfriend?

Now there's a reason why I'm feeling fairly annoyed right now. Fair enough that I laughed it off with my mates after I walked back to them, but deep inside its just shit.

I'm an experienced individual in such cases that you could get me to do an AMA. For the past 4-5 interactions I've had at university with girls, they've all had a boyfriend. Its a mere case of bad luck I think. I don't know. But its annoying.

Its annoying, because of the stuff I read on here, and the stuff I know about approaching/pick up, and when I try to get out there, and apply it, boom, she's got a boyfriend.

Needed to just personally vent this frustration out, and maybe even get thoughts off people who may have experienced this line of bad luck. Apologies for second post of the day as well. Hope to get some responses.
