Meeting girls for the first time in college. Should I throw compliments their way to establish interest? Or focus more on just being friendly.

meet AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN. Girls yes...but meet everyone. The more friends you make the more hookups it will lead to for the rest of your college career.

Don't be friendly. What I mean by that is just let her know of your intention. You are not there to be friends with her, you want more than that.

Compliments are always cool if you do it towards her dress, shoes etc. (things that she chose)

Focus on being fun to hang out with. Get invited to parties and invite them to meet you there. Be sexy, not overly clingy and friendly.

In my experience, college age girls (18-25) will flat out reject you if you compliment them. Why, they are in an environment with Tons of high value, fun, party boys all of whom are their suitors. They have their pick of the litter. Everyone kisses their ass.

Indirect approaches work better. Project a high energy, fun guy appearance. Smile. Bust their balls, don't argue, and be very ready to walk away. The sooner you end an interaction going downhill, the more power you will have. You just "walked away" from that hottie. Actual walk away from girls on purpose, to add mystery, it's the college they are coming there the next morning, they will see you again. (Get the number of course)

Watch out though, it is not a nightclub, girls will talk; they will tell each other what this guy told them or what happened. When I started training in pua ; I have lost half my female friends at the university - but that's okay. Oprah lost half her friends when she lost weight. Be indirect, attract ( don't kiss ass, attract by demonstrating higher value and showing indicators of disinterest to the girl, with your status, not with needy compliments) and see many girls as friends. Lunch with one, dinner with one , sports with one. They are all your friends (options) but there is nothing against having sex with them all as long as you don't brag about it like a beta and lower their social reputation. Then no girl will touch you. Be discreet.

Only compliment someone if there is something worth complimenting. If you are going to compliment every girl you are interested in left and right from the start, your words will quickly diminish in value.

At a social environment like uni where you'll keep seeing the same people, compliment people of they have something worth complementing, not because it's a cute girl and you think it will make her like you.

Complement men and women, if its authentic. To a girl you know "Really cute dress today." or to someone you just met "Hey, awesome streaks in your hair!". Complementing men gives positive vibes too; dude with an interesting T shirt? "awesome shirt man." from there you can talk to them, be cool, be funny and be you.

At college your goal should be to be as social as possible to EVERYONE. The more people from more places who know and like you, the more good things will come your way. Be the cool guy who knows everyone and women WILL become part of your life. Friends from dorm and friends from class? Introduce them. Say hi to someone new at the start of each class, it doesn't need to be a whole conversation but be friendly, be social. Acquaintance from class you see having lunch? Go say hi! Participate in class, answer the teacher where possible. You want people to know who you are.

Your aim isn't to pick up chicks, at least not on a day to day basis, it's to be awesome. The females come as part of this.

Err on the side of friendly. Its better to not show your interest right away, as it can be seen as desperate. Make her earn your affection. Be flirty though, always be flirty.
